Prologue of the DAOeast Movement

— Diffusing Humanity into the Crypto Sphere with Eastern Ethos

Untitled

Preface

This paper is not armed with cryptographic technology or financial engineering. Instead, this paper raises critical questions about the prevailing infrastructural and financial dominance in crypto environments. It emphasizes the need for a shift towards more human-centric considerations—exploring the essence of restoring human thought and relational recovery in digital spaces. Through a meme-driven research approach, we aim to diffuse the philosophy of communal-ware more easily, engaging a broader audience in a dialogue about the future of technology development.

Acknowledgment

In the tech scene, where engineers are always the stars, it's been a thrilling surprise to find EF Academic Grant as a writer. We can contribute meaningfully to the crypto ecosystem. It's akin to being acknowledged for bringing a pen to a code fight. We believe that the most sophisticated algorithms should merge a touch of the humanities to thrive truly. We gratefully acknowledge the Ethereum Foundation for the grant on the humanity sector, sowing the seeds from which the DAOeast Movement has grown. May this seed blossom, spreading the essence of humanity across the Ethereum network, like a digital renaissance painting humanity in codes.

The blockchain ecosystem predominantly focuses on Western historical contexts. What can we learn from historical parallels beyond the Western tradition? We aim to explore what the blockchain ecosystem can glean from successful political and technological movements in regions outside of North America and Europe—embracing Multiculturalism. 📝 EF Academic Grant  Wishlist 2023.

Authors

The team, brought together by a shared commitment to research, collaborates in a spirit of collective inquiry. Central to our study on DAOeast, three dedicated researchers contribute their unique perspectives and expertise. Sunghoon Jin offers insightful reflections on ancient Asian culture and international politics, enriching 'Part One: Self-interest Sinks, but the Network Links' with historical depth and contemporary relevance. TwinFin, through extensive interviews spanning Asia to Africa, uncovers rich insights, sharing these findings in 'Part Two: DAOeast Interview' alongside over 20 community operators. Sujin Keen provides meticulous analysis and forward-thinking perspectives, contributing to 'Part 3: Sticky Communal-ware', where the essence of DAOeast's approach to fostering humane connections within the digital garden is unveiled.
